July!
Let me start off by saying how blessed I am to have such an amazing husband that knows and understands the importance of being there for your family and being the provider and making it possible to have mommy stay home with the kids. He has taken on a second job waiting tables and bar tending for the time being to help us achieve that goal. It has been hard not having him home till late... really late on the weekends.... but in his own words "you make it worth it" I know it is worth it, every minute! I couldn't imagine leaving Olivia with anyone....to miss the many moments we have together everyday. WOW! how did I get so lucky?!?
July is always such a fun month! Summer is officially here! With Independence day and my Grandma's birthday back to back, how could it go wrong with such a great start?! Olivia's first Independence day and daddy had to work :/ It was a total bummer! But he was able to join the fam soon after the fireworks.

Had a blast with the cousins making hot dogs and smores! yum!
Grammy came to visit for the first time :)
Its crazy to see how much Olivia has changed in just a few months!

no posing here!! just mommy waiting patiently taking 10 pics to get that perfect one :) I think I did it! I'm just VERY grateful that I don't have to pay for film or developing an entire roll of film not knowing if you have any decent shots at all... I cant imagine! I can photograph her all day! she is used to the camera already! :)
A BBQ at Grandmas pool! So much fun! Olivia's first time in a pool!
It feels more like bath water, she liked it.. didn't love it... I cant wait to see her next year!
I'm sure she'll be a little fish with all her cousins.
Family Home Evening at the beach! THE BEST! we went several times..
love the good 'ol fun at the beach, there is nothing like it.
Somehow sand manages to get into everything
despite all the great lengths you do to avoid it from happening :)
watching the kids run back and forth from the water to "our spot" rolling in the sand and then out again :)
I remember those days all to well. It was so amazing to think that back in the day...
when your a kid at the beach, you just run into the water...
none of this testing the water with your toes, you just stripped down to your suit and ran in :)Had a blast with the cousins making hot dogs and smores! yum!

Olivia is rolling over! I was telling my sister Amy how she was really close to rolling over and had her watch her... she then said with a smile, Chris, that's rolling over :) at that time she hadn't mastered getting all the way over onto her belly yet, but that only took a few more days. Now she is only on her belly. Rolling at 2 months! Amy says.. Whats her hurry?!? I should have known when she was moving her head at 4 days old!

our bundle of JOY
So Olivia is 6 weeks old tomorrow! My goodness! She is so big! I know that she really is still small and looks like a brand new baby to some, but to others, I have heard that she looks like a 3 month old. I know that we have bigger babies in my family and wasnt expecting anything different. She is already 12.5lbs :) healthy growing baby. I cant help but stare at her! And I know I haven't taken so many pictures of the same thing before... Im very grateful that we are in the digital age and that we dont have to purchase film anymore! Can you imagine?! I'm averaging at least 3 pictures a day. I think I should cut back.
I love being home with her spending all day together. Its comforting to be able to know what she needs because I know her so well. Its funny all her different cries. I am especially fond of the 'I'm bored' cry and the 'stop trying to feed me, I'm full' cry. They are both quite amusing.
I read a couple books to her a few weeks back, but decided it was probably too early. Last night I read a few books to her and she loved it! It will be a normal routine for us now. I am looking forward to reading to her and making those memories for both of us :)
Olivia is almost sleeping through the night! YAY! she is sleeping a consistent 5 hours right now, hopefully that will naturally extend itself :) But how can I complain at getting up once to feed her for 15-20 minutes and then putting her right back down to sleep? I cant. She IS PERFECT!
A few weeks ago we did a 'photo shoot' at my parents house and then brought my Dad's camera home and i was able to take more here. They turned out pretty good! I now am forced to choose those that I want to frame. And then where to hang them... I am looking forward to it... really I am :) but here is a few.. enjoy.
